I started
to farm my ponies before Heavensward came out and now I am trying to get the
missing ones.
Since Heavensward
you are able to fight the Extreme modes with Level 60 by using the “Undersized
Party” setting.
If you are
using that setting you are able to change the party setup and fight with less than 8 players. But be aware of some new
important rules while fighting.
Here are
the important points about every primal:
Garuda:
Starting
with Garuda (She is the easiest one). Since you are fighting with Level 60 you
are able to change the party setup as you can see in the picture. If you have a
very good healer and tank you could try it with 1 Tank, 1 Heal and 3 DPS. In
the Add phase one of the DPS (in my party I did as a BRD) takes Suprana and all
DPS kill her asap. The Tank only takes Garuda and Chirada at the other side of
the area. After killing Suprana you swap to Chirada. The rest of the tactic is
still the same.
Titan:
Titan is
also one of the easier ones (if everyone knows how to move and don’t fall off
:P ). You can do it with 1 Tank (you never need 2), 1 Heal (only need 2 if he
can’t do it alone) and 3 DPS. The tactic doesn’t change. The only critical
point is the heart phase. If you DPS to hard while the 2 Gaols are up he skips
the phase and casts Landslide earlier and causes some problems.
Shiva:
Shiva has
no changes in the tactic. The only thing that changes is the reduction of
members in the party. It’s the same situation as with Garuda and Titan. If you
have some good players you can to the 1 Tank, 1 Heal and 3 DPS setup. You just
have to change the amount of Healers and Tanks if needed.
Ifrit:
Same Thing…
you can do it with 1 Tank, 1 Heal and 3 DPS as a minimum setup. You have to be
careful before and in the last Infernal Nail phase. You should start the DPS
stop on Ifrit at about 20%. If he goes to low while in the last Infernal Nail
phase he will go into the next phase and kill all Nails instantly. This will
kill you all ----- WIPE!
Ramuh:
One of my favorites…
I have to farm this guy like sh** because he just don’t want to drop any ponies
(If he does I lose :P ). I tried this guy with many different setups and it’s
possible to kill him with 1 Tank, 1 Heal and 3 DPS but you do better with 1
Tank, 2 Heal, 3 DPS. You should really look at his mechanics since they are
even at Level 60 kind of hard. If the Adds are up you have to stop dpsing Ramuh
cause if you go on dpsing him he will go into the next phase and kill all of
his Adds and yes you are going to die! This happened to me with many groups
(sometimes even the Tank has to stop dpsing!).
Leviathan:
This is the
only one I did not try with Level 60 unsynced groups but as far as I know you
should do it with 2 Tank, at least 1 Heal and 3 DPS. The hard part is that you
have to do a DPS stop at 50% and 20% cause you have to use the dome at the
right time. This seems to be a problem that many groups got. If I get better
information I will update this post.
Build your
own group via part finder!
Most other
parties are kind of scared to do it with less than 8 people. If you build your own party
you are able to create your own setup. Less people = better chance for everyone
to get a pony :P
Set the
minimum Item Level to 140 to make sure only Level 60 players are able to join.
No we don’t want to exclude players under Level 60 but we want to do a fast
pony farm party with less people so they should be Level 60.
If there is anything I should add just let me know :)
